Oh Baby, Where Art Thou?

Well, it's now 39 weeks and I am still waiting to have this baby! For the past few days, I've begun to swell even more and protein is now positive in my urine. My doctor wants to induce labor on Thursday. This would entail me having a procedure done to help the "softening process" along. After talking to several friends and family members and finding out how painful that would be, I've elected not to proceed. So, I continue to wait......very uncomfortably as I rest in bed (doctors orders) and keep an eye on my swelling, and watch out for pre-eclampsia symptoms.

Big Bumble

Lately, my new name is "Big Bumble." Alexis picked up this name off of a Christmas movie she saw about Rudolph. The bumble was the big, huge, white grizzly bear like creature on the show. Alexis says she calls me "Big Bumble" because,"you're pregnant and you're SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BIG! She says that she is "little bumble" because she is so skinny! Needless to say, I feel like a "Big Bumble" or a Great Blue Whale (yes we watch too much Animal Planet) I'm 5 lbs over my weight limit when I had Alexis 4.5 years ago. There doesn't seem to be anymore room left inside for baby Mullins. The top of my stomach burns and my rib cage feels severely bruised. I can hardly walk and I still have to take care of Alexis. We are both on bed rest, something Alexis is not enjoying. She continuously asks me all day long, "when is daddy coming home", and "does daddy have to go to work tomorrow?" We are expecting the arrival of baby Mullins any day now and are prayerful that we will have her by next week if not over the weekend.
