Too Pretty For That

The other day, at Alexis's flag football game, Londyn was playing with a little girl friend named Gordy.  As they were playing, Gordy decided to make her way to her grandmother's purse where she retrieved a compact of  powdered makeup or some pressed powder.  Gordy proceeded to walk back over to Londyn and said, "this is how you put it on," as she patted a "poof" of it on her cheeks.  Instantly upon hearing what this little girl was saying, Londyn said, "you are too pretty for that," in a very matter of factly fashion. This is exactly what what I tell my girls!  "You are too pretty for makeup," and they most definitely are

Just Call Her "Farrah"

Londyn got her 1st hair cut on Tuesday.  It is note worthy to mention, although she is over the age of three, this is her 1st hair cut. This pic got rave reviews from my Facebook page, so I decided to post it so we can show off her award winning personality and new hair due.

Alexis also got a new fashionably, stylish hair due too.  It was the first time she didn't want her hair in a pony tail.  See how pretty she is.

Choo Choo Soul

Londyn asked me to sing her a "Choo Choo" song.   Immediately the lyrics to the Disney "Choo Choo Soul" song came to mind.  I searched the internet and found the corresponding video.  Upon hearing the song, for the very first time, Londyn made her way up onto my lap and began jamming out to the music. The girl has got some rhythm.   If you decide to watch the video below just imagine the rhythm.  OH!, The RHYTHM.

Sister Loo

Londyn became upset when I had to tell her "NO", yet again, about "something" she did that was unacceptable. She looked at me with her eyebrows turn low and said, "you aren't my sister anymore." I replied, "What, I'm not your sister anymore?" She thought about it for a second, or two or three, then said, "I changed my mind about you being my sister Loo because I love you and your so precious." So, I guess we are sisters again.  You can see her most infamous facial expression below.

What I Want

For my 36th Birthday, I would like a present wrapped in blue.  Inside the blue wrapped gift, I would like a white box with something green inside; something green like my eyes. - by Londyn Paige

Moved Me

"The Reason, My Purpose"
My three year old, Londyn Paige is quite the challenge.  I've been reading, To Train Up A Child, by Michael & Debi Pearl.  This is what I took away from this book.

Child rearing is an invasive procedure.  You invade the soul of a developing human being, an external living soul.  It is not an inconsequential procedure.  The whole heavens stand in the waiting room in anticipation of the outcome.

The Last Song

Our "New" Bedtime Song
per request, by my precious girls:
Alexis Lynn, Londyn Paige & Presley Rain

This is the last song of the night,
Pretty soon mommy & daddy are gonna turn out the light,
My sweetie pies, shut your eyes and go to sleep,
Tucked under the covers, now your counting the sheep,
Big sister, Alexis Lynn, time to go to sleep,
Big sister, Londyn Paige, time to go to sleep,
Little baby, Presley Rain, don't you know your sweet,
Everybody, time to go to sleep,
This is the last song of the night,
Pretty soon mommy & daddy are gonna turn out the light,
Tucked under the covers, time for sweet dreams..............

Nobody Loves My Blue Eyes

While out trick or treating, Londyn said, "Nobody Loves My Blue Eyes!" She noticed that all the people dressed up for Halloween were not stopping to tell her that her eyes are so pretty as they passed her by. The only difference is that we were in the pitch darkness of night following a caravan of trick or treaters as we made our way from house to house. Funny how kids say the darnedest things; not realizing that the compliments come in the light of day!

Smartness

Today, Londyn presented me with a book she wanted me to read to her, "Who's hiding in Noah's Ark." As we began to read, Londyn's task was to identify the animals that were hiding in the book. As I pulled down the tabs to show her the animals, she would immediately shout out what it was correctly. I told her, "you are so smart" (since she was getting them ALL right) she replied, "Uh Huh!" She was so sure of herself in her reply.

Rembering This

Since Presley 'Rain' had her 1st bath recently, I decided to show Londyn the video of her 1st Bath. She loooved it. She now asks me to show her over and over the video clip of when she said, "mama" for the 1st time. As she watches the video, she enjoys telling herself hi as she waves to the baby in the video; I don't think she fully realizes the baby in the video is her.

Swimming & Heaven

Londyn discovered an old picture of Alexis as a baby swimming in our pool. The picture featured Alexis in the bathing suite that Londyn now wears. Londyn brought the picture over to me and said, "that's my bathing suit" implying the baby mommy was holding was "her". Alexis, a bit distraught, explained to tell her that the baby momma was holding was "Alexis" and not Londyn. In an eager voice, Alexis said, "You were still in heaven, you weren't here yet Londyn!"
