Our Surprise Blessing!

Roots & All

Today, Alexis had four of her baby teeth extracted. We are trying to make room for her permanent teeth to come in with more ease allowing them to come in straighter and to avoid over crowding. The dentist assured me that it wouldn't hurt and that Alexis would NOT be in pain. He was right! The only thing that hurt was the pain of the shot to numb her up. I had no idea that baby teeth have roots! I was shocked when the dentist handed me a small keepsake box that housed her teeth. I opened the box and was amazed at the size and lenght of the roots. Surely it had to hurt or cause some type of discomfort. It did NOT! I think mom was more nervous than Alexis and I was so glad for it all to be over with.

Surprise Blessing #3

After feeling like I've been gaining some weight, a sense of nauseousness, being extremely hungry & the presence of excessive salivation (more than normal) and not wanting any coffee, we discovered today that we will be expecting our third child in Oct 09.

10 Year Anniversary Weekend

This past weekend we celebrated our 10 year anniversary. We cooked a romantic dinner with the most tender New York steaks along with all the fix ins. Yes, the girls joined us! Then, we woke up early Saturday morning and took the girls hiking at Canyon Lake. Next, we were off to Alligator Gap to play golf and ride the go-carts. We ended the evening with fully loaded, baked potatoes from Granzin's. So, this in a nutshell is how you spend 10 years of marriage; with the kids and doing everything they want to do. We plan on doing something more special when it warms up, like a weekend at the Escondida Resort or Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa. You know, I will be blogging all about it.
